ALERT helpline provides help to about 80 callers on a daily basis or about 2000 people each month . This includes information on varied issues related to animal welfare, rescue, rehabilitation and protection. It is the right platform which entertains issues regarding medical help to animals and birds in distress, legal guidance, adoptions, wildlife, veganism and every topic there is related to animal welfare and animals rights .

The roots of ALERT found its direction when the founder saw that parakeets were sold openly in cities which was infact. illegal, but as we come across sometimes these laws are not blatantly followed. For years ALERT has conducted several daring operations in forests, mostly around Nagpur, Yavatmal, Vardha and Amravati which are hot beds for smuggling.

A team of wildlife experts have built an informer base and collects inputs from them and feeds this information into a database. This information helps in tracking down sellers and poachers of illegal wildlife trade and helps in catching the culprits red handed.

Snakes, bats, owls, monkeys, hawks and turtles form most of our wildlife rescue work. 630 such animals and birds are rescued on an average every 6 months. As per law, they were either released in 48 hours or sent to rescue center at Katraj. Notable was a large cobra that was found right in middle of a slum. It had caused quite a panic, but it was safely caught and release back into the wild.
